Another Super Flea find, this was a "1962 Selection of the Weekly Reader, Children's Book Club."The illustrator's name is Ulf Aas, quite a handle by any measure.
I came across your blog post while searching for my favorite childhood books, "The Road to Agra",,,so I am writing to thank you for posting the copy of the book cover, and an illustration. I remember that book cover and ink drawing so well !
I received my copy in the mail through the Weekly Reader Children's Book club,,,( you also noted it was a selection) and what a good story it was !
